1927–1935 People at work

As a member of AChRR (Russ. АХРР) —Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia — and one of organizers of the Union of Artists Nurenberg paid tribute to the theme «Work». He made business trips all over the country, having visited building sites, mines of Kuzbass, and Ukrainian kolkhozes.

In some works of this period, typical work subjects of social realism were solved in the techniques of French impressionism. Other works demonstrated the influence of the Barbizon school, particularly of peasant idylls of Millet.

The mine drawings of Nurenberg were included in the book Pearl of Kuzbass, Moscow, 1935. Some kolkhoz and industrial pictures are in the Tretyakov Gallery and Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.
